Summer Camps

We are delighted to announce that ProActive Kids summer camps will go ahead this year! We have limited our spaces to 20. We will be adhering to our Covid-19 guidelines that we are already successfully implementing at Squirrel’s Scramble. To have of a read of these guidelines please click here.

We will be encouraging best practice physical hygiene at all times. Our instructors will not be wearing masks and the children will not be asked to wear them but we may at times hand out gloves to wear, and we will have masks on hand if the children wish to wear them, they, of course, may also bring their own.

About ProActive Kids

The camp runs Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

It is based four days on the grounds of Killruddery Estate and one day at Dalkey Quarry. We will keep you informed as to which day the climbing session will be, closer to the time.

Dropping off times are from 8.30am to 9.30am, collection times are 4.30pm to 5.30pm, located at the Killruddery House and Gardens overflow car park, next to the farmer's market location.

The drop off and pick up hours are supervised relaxed times, when the children can play and practice the skills they have learnt. These times are provided for the convenience of busy parents to allow for late arrival.

Activities start at 9.30am, due to the big variety of activities we do, and the large size of Killruddery grounds we use many different locations. Arrival after 9.30am could result in your child missing out, as we may have already left the meeting point. This also applies to the Dalkey Quarry meeting point. You can call Chris on 086 450 6626 to find out where everyone is.

The camp is for ages 8 to 15 years. Depending on numbers the children will be split into younger and older groups. Friends or siblings can be put into the same groups if requested. There will be short breaks between activities to eat snacks and freshen up, campers are free to use Killruddery's toilet facilities. Lunch will be at approx 12.30pm.

The week will give an insight into lots of different kinds of sports and activities, all of which will be instructed by fully insured and qualified PE Teachers, Outdoor Trainers and Climbing Instructors. Certified Climbing Gear is used in all the climbing and abseiling activities, helmets and harnesses.
